Weekend Guide - Los Angeles

I'm missing the palm trees and sunny beaches. If you're where I'd like to be, why don't you take a trip to Al Gelato for me. I recommend a nice bowl of homemade tomato basil pasta. It's Oh-So-Delicious! Be sure to finish lunch off all off with some "vanilla with a hint of lemon" gelato...Yum Yum...How I miss Al Gelato...

For all the art lovers, the LACMA can be found in the same neighborhood. Take some time out to check out their latest David Hockney Portraits exhibit running from June 11th-Sept 4th.

Who says Sundays have to be boring? With the Melrose Flea Market, at the Fairfax High School parking lot on the corner of Fairfax Blvd and Melrose Ave, you can purchase antiques or one-of-a-kind objects to your hearts desire. Admission is only $2. Just be sure you arrive anytime between 9 AM - 5 PM.

Lastly, August 8th is Herbalist's Corner at Elixir Tonic & Teas in their lovely garden in the back. You'll receive a complimentary tongue and pulse diagnosis from one of their licensed herbalists. They'll teach you to understand your body's Qi and learn how to maintain optimum wellness and health.
